FAB Travel Policy

Welcome to FAB Tours!

 

We’re excited to provide you with a fun, safe, and memorable experience. By booking with us, you agree to the policies and terms outlined below.

1. Booking & Payment
  • A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a non-refundable deposit (as specified at the time of booking).

  • Group and private tours may require a signed agreement and specific payment timelines.

  • Please review the tour descriptions carefully, as admission fees may or may not be included in the tour price depending on the destination and type of tour.

  • Need a little extra time?  For private charters, we are happy to extend your tour if our vehicle and driver are available - additional hours will be billed at the same hourly rate as your original quote.

2. Cancellations, Refunds & Changes

Guest-Initiated Cancellations & Changes

  • 31+ days prior: Full refund minus non-refundable deposit ($50 for Signature Tours, $250 for Custom Tours), and any third-party ticket fees.

  • 14 to 30 days prior: 50% refund.

  • Within 7 days: Non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Changes to your booking may incur an admin fee depending on the nature of the request.

* Cruise Guests - If your ship cancels disembarkation in Victoria, a full refund will be provided.

FAB-Initiated Cancellations

  • If we must cancel due to safety, weather, or operational concerns, guests will receive a full refund or a chance to reschedule (subject to availability).

  • FAB is not responsible for related costs (e.g., hotel or flight).

3. Itinerary & Activity Changes

While we make every effort to operate as scheduled, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to:

  • Severe or unsafe weather conditions

  • Mechanical issues or operational challenges

  • Minimum group size not met

  • Any other unforeseen circumstances that could impact safety or quality

In such cases, you will be offered the option to rebook or receive a full refund.

4. Vehicle Substitution

While we aim to provide the originally scheduled vehicle, FAB may substitute a vehicle of similar or greater quality when necessary due to mechanical or operational reasons.

5. Accessibility
  • FAB Tours is committed to providing inclusive experiences. Many of our vehicles are equipped to accommodate guests with visible and invisible disabilities, including those using mobility aids or foldable scooters.

  • Please inform us of any accessibility needs at the time of booking so we can prepare accordingly.

  • Private SUV tours are also available and may be more suitable for guests needing extra support or customized comfort.

6. Guest Conduct

To ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all, guests must follow these guidelines:

  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow passengers, staff, and the community at each destination.

  • FAB reserves the right to remove any guest from the tour without refund in cases of inappropriate, dangerous, or disruptive behavior.

  • Under the B.C. Motor Vehicle Act, if the vehicle you are travelling in is equipped with a seat belt, you are required to wear it.  If your FAB vehicle is not equipped with seat belts, we kindly ask that all passengers remain seated while the vehicle is in motion, until the driver indicates it is safe to stand.

In rare cases where these guidelines are not followed, the tour operator reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include asking a guest to leave the tour. Refunds will not be issued in such instances, and guests will be responsible for their own onward transportation.

7. Liability
  • Participation in FAB Tours is at your own risk. While we prioritize safety, guests are responsible for their personal well-being and belongings during the tour.

  • FAB Tours is not liable for injuries, losses, or delays caused by third-party service providers, weather conditions, traffic conditions, or any other conditions beyond our control.

8. Children & Car Seats
  • Children and Youth (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult.

  • ​For the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask that parents and guardians ensure their children are supervised throughout the duration of the tour.

Car Seat Policy (if seat belts are provided):

  • Infants (0–2 years): Rear-facing, CMVSS-approved car seat required.

  • Toddlers (2–4 years, 20–40 lbs): Rear or forward-facing harnessed car seat.

  • Children (4–8 years): Booster or forward-facing seat unless 57" tall or 80+ lbs.

  • Over 40 lbs:  Must use a lap belt restraint system if no booster seat is used. However, booster seats may not be used with lap-only belts for safety reasons.

We kindly ask guests to bring their own car seat or harnessed booster seat. If you are unable to travel with one, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to provide one upon request free of charge.

9. Animals
  • Service dogs are always welcome.

  • For private tours, small pets allowed in airline-approved carriers may join for a $35 fee. They must remain in the carrier at all times and cannot travel alone.

  • Please inform us in advance if traveling with a service animal or small pet.

10. Food & Drink
  • Unless specified otherwise, meals are not included.

  • Breaks will be scheduled for snacks or meals. Guests may bring their own refreshments.

11. Onboard Recording & Photo Release

Video Recording:
To ensure guest and driver safety, some FAB vehicles may be equipped with onboard video recording. Footage is used strictly for safety and incident review in accordance with our privacy policy.

Photo Release:
By joining a tour, guests consent to the use of photos or videos taken during the experience for FAB Tours' marketing or social media.

  • We do not publish identifying images of children under 13.

  • If you do not consent to any photos or videos being taken, please notify us prior to your tour.

12. Agreement

By booking with FAB Tours, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
